Since 1982 Delorese Ambrose has shared her inspiring messages on emerging workplace issues in conferences and seminars internationally. 

Founder of Ambrose Consulting & Training, a firm dedicated to personal mastery and organizational effectiveness, Delorese provides coaching and training for business, government, and the not-for-profit sector.

Delorese earned a Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University in 1979, specializing in organization behavior. She was an assistant professor at Brooklyn College, City University of New York, from 1975 to 1980, and adjunct Professor of Management from 1980 to 1998 at Carnegie Mellon University. 

She currently lectures as a faculty member of the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) throughout the U.S. and in Canada, Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Manchester, and Scotland.
 
PUBLICATIONS:
Dr. Ambrose is author of three books:  Leadership: The Journey Inward, Healing the Downsized Organization and, Making Peace with Your Work: An Invitation to Find Meaning in the Madness. She has also authored chapters on managing change for two medical textbooks: Comprehensive Respiratory Care, and the award-winning Nursing Management.

AWARDS:
Delorese was named one of the City’s 25 Most Powerful Women by Pittsburgh Magazine in 1995, and has been profiled in industry and media publications, such as Black Enterprise, the Pittsburgh Business Times and CNN Financial News.  Among her many honors are the coveted Emil Limbach Teaching Award, the Athena Award for “women who attain and personify the highest level of professional excellence,” and the ASTD Human Resources Development Excellence Award.

Delorese’s personal mission is to help people discover the meaning in their work, so they can attain more satisfying personal and organizational results.
